68 things this semester taught me

Here are things that this semester taught me in no particular order because organization does not exist. Enjoy.

  1. If you have an ethics paper due at the end of the semester, DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE SEMESTER
  2. Auburn football is unpredictable, but I love it.
  3. I don’t need the approval of others.
  4. If you force yourself to drink coffee, you will eventually like it.
  5. Elementary Math 1 is hard.
  6. Fractions are of the devil.
  7. Don’t stress over things that are months away or things that are out of my control.
  8. People change, but God doesn’t.
  9. My heart is still in Haiti and I miss every bit of it.
  10. When you paint wooden letters to put on your wall, a zero works just as well as an “O”.
  11. My room will stay clean for about 1 hour.
  12. I don’t need a desk when I have so much room in my floor for activities.
  13. I put the PRO in PROCRASTINATING.
  14. Prayer is powerful and IT WORKS.
  15. 9th grade girls are the best.
  16. People will never know how you feel if you don’t tell them.
  17. I should have paid more attention to how I have been treated by others.
  18. I can cook and I am proud of it.
  19. I make a mean Buffalo Chicken Dip.
  20. You are only as happy as you are comfortable in your bed.
  21. Good bed sheets are a game-changer.
  22. I am not crazy.
  23. As much as I want to be a go-with-the-flow type of person, I HAVE to have a plan.
  24. My mission field is anywhere the Lord has me.
  25. The way you spend your summer does NOT define you.
  26. I. Love. Vanilla Coke.
  27. Strive to be like Jesus.
  28. The beauty of my own bathroom.
  29. Friends are important, especially the ones you live with.
  30. Dishwashers are a blessing.
  31. Nana is my number one woman.
  32. Be yourself.
  33. Stay away from boys (I’m giving credit to one of my friends…who is a boy, LOL)
  34. The transit is the best place to cram before a test (even if the drivers are crazy).
  35. Transit drivers are really nice.
  36. The transit is cold, especially on a rainy day.
  37. Always carry an extra jacket or shirt.
  38. I can organize how I will study, but I lack in actually studying.
  39. People only put the best parts of their life on social media.
  40. I am not defined by the number of “likes” I get on instagram.
  41. A lot of people send mass snapchats.
  42. Poke wars are still relevant.
  43. Myspace however, is not.
  44. I have become a Belieber–sorry not sorry :-)
  45. It is fun to camp in your ENO (even when you think a bear is going to eat you)
  46. You can never have too many smores.
  47. Hair pick > hair brush
  48. Christmas lights bring me joy.
  49. My church community is important.
  50. A friendship is pure and real when you don’t see each other for weeks/months and you can pick right back up where you were.
  51. I LOVE JESUS.
  52. Geology rocks!!!
  53. I am punny.
  54. There are always questions about what to do in the future.
  55. I will never meet a famous person and I’m ok with that.
  56. If you are still reading this then congrats, we’re friends!
  57. Don’t put your worth in a boy or in your friends.
  58. Reach out to others.
  59. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
  60. I am able because God gives me strength.
  61. I am loved by THE I AM.
  62. A hug will either make my day or make me cry.
  63. If your best you can do is a C, then that’s ok.
  64. Grades don’t define me.
  65. My heart is fragile and should not be taken lightly.

  67. My missional community is AWESOME.
  68. First Baptist Opelika has taught me so much and I am so thankful for their college ministry.
